As a wedding venue, one of our favorite moments is when our brides get to see their bridal suite for the first time on their special day. But as beautiful as it is, you’ll want to bring a few things to make sure you and the squad will have everything you need.

Here’s a list of what to include in your bridal suite so you’re fully prepared to walk down the aisle!

Bridal Suite Ideas

In a perfect world, you wouldn’t need to bring anything extra to your bridal suite; you could simply show up, wait for your hair and makeup appointment, and go get married!

However, there’s a lot that can go wrong—or get overlooked—on your wedding day, so it’s best to be prepared.

Emergency Must-Haves

A good “emergency kit” will solve all sorts of problems—from wardrobe malfunctions to health crises. The following items will create a well-rounded kit that everyone will appreciate.

• Curling iron
• Hairspray
• Bobby pins & hair ties
• Makeup (for touch ups)
• Lip balm
• Deodorant
• Dental hygiene (floss, mouthwash, breath mints)
• Hand Sanitizer
• Lotion

• Tissues (expect a lot of tears!)

Hangers and Mini Steamer

A mini steamer can smooth any wrinkles that may have arisen during transport and a sturdy hanger will prevent further mishaps.

Bonus points for pretty, customized hangers! (They make for great photos.)

Portable Fan

While our bridal suite is air-conditioned and includes a ceiling fan, we also provide a portable Vornado fan to keep the cool air flowing!

Phone Chargers

Make sure there are enough phone chargers for everyone; we’ve installed USB ports in every electrical outlet in the bridal suite!

Refreshments

The longer you’re here, the more you’ll need. Bring a charcuterie board for all-day grazing or have lunch brought in from one of Boerne’s top restaurants.

At the very least, we recommend water, a few mess-free snacks, and champagne.

Bride Getting Ready Outfit

You won’t be in your dress all morning while you’re getting your hair makeup done and relaxing with your nearest and dearest, but you’ll want something just as special to mark the day.

Make sure you opt for something you’ll be comfortable lounging in, and make sure the top isn’t something you have to pull over your head to remove. 

We know sweats are cozy but remember, you’ll probably be using some heat tools on your hair, and you’ll have normal wedding day jitters, so don’t opt for anything too heavy. Light and loose is the way to go!

Personally, we love anything button-down or wrap around like a robe or pajama shirt. 

Optional (But Fun!) Items

No, you don’t have to include the following items in your bridal suite…but they do make for a lot of fun!

Music!

No Girls’ Day is complete without a good playlist!

Put one of your bridesmaids in charge of compiling the music for the day and get ready to belt out Man, I Feel Like a Woman with your besties!

At Kendall Point, we have a Sonos bar built into the bridal suite with an iPad to control it! No need to bring your own speaker, just pick your music!

Matching Outfits

Sure, you could always wear your regular clothes or a robe you’ve had forever (just make sure it doesn’t have to go over your head!), but why choose “ordinary” if you don’t have to?

We love seeing bridal parties wear matching robes or pajamas in the bridal suite! Plus, they make for great bridesmaids’ gifts.

Pretty Tableware

Elevate your snacks with some pretty plates, napkins, cups, and cutlery. They’ll look great in photos and make everyone feel bougie.

Comfy Footwear

No one wants to wear their fancy heels all day. Comfy options (like flip flops or slippers) will treat their toes to comfort!

We built Kendall Point in 2011 with the intent of creating the best wedding venue in San Antonio, and our bridal suite proves it!

When you book your wedding at Kendall Point, here’s what you’ll get in your bridal suite.

14-Hour Rental Window

Your rental lasts from 10 a.m. to midnight, which means you’ll have plenty of time to get ready before the ceremony!

Some wedding venues only allow one or two hours of “get ready time” for you and your bridesmaids, which often leads to chaos. We want you to have a leisurely, stress-free morning!

Awesome Lighting

Big windows flood our bridal suite with natural light, making everyone glow in pictures (seriously, photographers love us)!

Plus, with no curtains or blinds to get in the way, those windows come with another perk….

Incredible Views

Sweeping vistas of the Texas Hill Country are gorgeous to look at and stunning in photos.

For an up close and personal look, our bridal suite also has French doors that open up to a wrap-around porch.

Makeup Counter

Whether you’re hiring a professional hair and makeup artist or you’re doing it yourself, everyone can get ready in comfort with our wall-to-wall makeup counter.

Mirrors in multiple sizes (including an oversized mirror) ensure that everyone has plenty of room for touch-ups while excellent lighting makes getting ready a breeze.

Full Bathroom with Walk-In Shower

Long day + mimosas = plenty of bathroom trips. At Kendall Point, you don’t have to worry about roaming the halls in search of the restroom (and possibly giving your future hubby a sneak peek at the dress).

Our bridal suite includes a full bathroom (with a walk-in shower)!

Bathtub

Tucked into a cozy corner lies one of the best features of Kendall Point’s bridal suite—an antique claw foot tub!

Perfect for photos throughout the day, you and your bridesmaids will have a blast with this one!

Hooks

As the bride, your gown is the focal point of the entire day. We would hate for it to get wrinkled! In our opinion, your dress is too important to entrust to a Command hook.

Frankly, the same goes for your bridal party—and your reception dress!—which is why we have over a dozen antique brass hooks to show off those threads (and keep them from getting stepped on).

Live Video Feeds

We understand how important it is to make sure everything is going smoothly, but it’s hard to do when you’re also trying to get ready.

As an added bonus, we’ve installed a TV screen with live video feeds of the set up and guests’ arrivals so you can keep a close eye on everything.
